CHOCNUT vs. HANY
So I did some taste-testing with these two similar treats that are locally made.
Chocnut
— delicate texture and easily melts in your mouth
— sweetness just right.
Hany
— tastes sweeter
— doesn’t crumble as easily as Chocnut.
The verdict?
Personally I prefer Chocnut over Hany simply because of its lovely packaging design! <3

I’ve been moaning about feeling restrained because I didn’t have a DSLR camera of my own, but that won’t stop me from taking pics with whatever I have in hand, even if it’s a low-res quality camera phone.

Panagbenga Festival 2012
Every February, flowers bloom in full season in the cool city of Baguio. So much so, that they turned it into a cultural celebration and its people make beautiful floating parades out of fresh flowers!
I had the pleasure of attending one a few months back with my friend Sammy, a Baguio kid and grand-niece of the festival’s founder. I got to use my Lomo ActionSampler and a disposable film camera from CD-R KING (lol). Check out Sammy’s film photos as well over at her blog, and scroll through mine after the jump:
Being that Baguio is 4-6 hours away from Manila, we left the city the night before and arrived at her place in the wee hours of the morning. We were so exhausted that we kind of overslept! We got up and rushed to the streets and were able to reach this part of the parade: marching bands and native Cordillerans in full gear.
BUTTOCKS!
We took some time out after to explore on foot because traffic is a nightmare! An estimated 3 million people were there for the weekend, it’s insane.
After grabbing brunch at Sam’s family B&B, PNKY Cafe, we met up with her cousins Ton (cosplaying as Natsu), and Angelo (in the funky hat). The following pics were taken by her:

DAY 2: Flower Power!
Oh, and I got to be part of the parade with the Baguio Cosplay Community in the frontline! So mostly, my photos are from that perspective. We had a pretty early call time. Here Sammy’s dressed as Naruto, with Ton in costume again and Angelo cosplaying as Loki from Fairy Tail:
As for me— er, I borrowed a pink wig and stockings and trooped about in my red tutu dress:
